Not so random thoughts to start off the week

We had originally felt that the reading of the Constitution (as amended) last week to open the 112th Congress was gimmicky. We still do only less so. Why? Well, why don't you try telling John Lewis (D-GA) that his reading of the 13th amendment was gimmicky? Not us, brothers and sisters, not us.

And forget John Galt. Who is James Starks?

And back to Congress for a moment: in one of the most snide and sarcastic Op-Eds we've read lately, the New York Times is handling the Republican take-over of the House of Representatives pretty much as you would expect.
