Just a few more thoughts on this "new civility" we've been hearing so much about

We missed this the first time around but can you blame us when they all start running together. Here's Joe Nocera lede-ing off in the NY Times a few days ago.

Tea Party’s War on America

You know what they say: Never negotiate with terrorists. It only encourages them.

These last few months, much of the country has watched in horror as the Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people. Their intransigent demands for deep spending cuts, coupled with their almost gleeful willingness to destroy one of America’s most invaluable assets, its full faith and credit, were incredibly irresponsible. But they didn’t care. Their goal, they believed, was worth blowing up the country for, if that’s what it took.

Again, the total lack of originality and creativity is mind-boggling. We can't speak for the rest of the country but other than some morning low clouds, the skies were clear here in San Diego over the past couple of weeks but it's still possible we missed those sky-writers getting the word out to the statist minions in the ruling class and their water-carriers in the legacy media.

Of course, the irony of the liberal-Left refusing to even utter the term "jihad" when an actual jihadist commits an act of terror is not lost on us.

And for a set of people who wish to appease and cow to those who want to destroy us, we cannot imagine the real jihadists out there are too pleased to know that they are now being compared, quite unfavorably, mind you, to tea partyers.

And as for Joe Nocera, himself...

Oh, dear god, no... The thoughtful chin-stroking columnist pose.

Let's bottom line this, shall we? We'll accept the "terrorist/jihadist" tag as long as the conforming statists on the Left accept "pedophile" .

I love it! It makes perfect sense to lefties, "what is the difference between Jihadists and other religous people?" They most certainly cannot see a distinction.
