College football Saturday open thread
No. 16 South Florida got whacked on Thursday night 44-17 by unranked Pittsburgh.
And now, The notables for today:
No. 14 Texas A&M hosts No. 18 Arkansas.
Navy is a 3-point favorite against Air Force in Annapolis.
Kentucky at Death Valley and No. 1 LSU.
Unranked USC will attempt to rebound that thrashing they took last week at Arizona State as they host Arizona at the Coliseum.
Your ACC game of the week: No. 13 Clemson at Hokie-Hokie-Hi No. 11 Virginia Tech.
Your SEC game of the week and a late start (5 P.M. PDT) on CBS: No. 3 Alabama visits The Swamp and No. 12 Florida and will go opposite...
...The ABC primetime matchup: No. 7 Wisconsin hosting No. 8 Nebraska and their QB Taylor Martinez (pictured). Yes, you read that right - Nebraska is now a member of the Big 10. Looking forward to this one - Camp Randall Stadium will be rocking.
We'll be out and about enjoying Oktoberfest activities here in San Diego so this may be it for today. Enjoy your first-weekend-of-October college football Saturday.

As a product of the Big 8 now living in Big 10 country.
Go! Badgers?
Better dead than red.
I always go for the guys with N. Navy and Nebraska. (Rumor is that the Cornhusker N stands for nowledge.) Stupid penalty cost Navy the Commander in Chief's trophy today. Also rooting for South Carolina, but Auburn always gives them fits.
