Hey, #OWS... Ya like apples?

.

From the Daily Mail:

Barack Obama has compared the left-leaning Occupy Wall Street protests sweeping the country to the right-wing Tea Party movement, saying the two groups are 'not that different'

In some ways, they’re not that different from some of the protests that we saw coming from the Tea Party,' he added during the interview for Nightline conducted in Jamestown, North Carolina.

'Both on the left and the right, I think people feel separated from their government. They feel that their institutions aren’t looking out for them.'

The President, himself a target of protester anger over bank bailouts and a failure to jumpstart the economy, added that it was crucial leaders demonstrated they 'understand' the frustration voiced and their desire for change.

How do ya like them apples?

Of course, the President did not speak in such understanding terms with respect to the tea party rallies but no matter... #OWS heads must be spinning to be even mentioned in the same breath as the tea party.

And we're not too sure about that last paragraph. Nothing we've have seen thus far from the #0WS movement indicates they're too willing to take the President and his failed statist policies to task for the crony capitalism to which they claim to object. Quite the contrary, it seems, as the redistributionist themes of much of #OWS's apparent agenda are tailor made for even more of the President's statism.

Kind of different from the tea party

The Tea Party doesn't have the whole theft and rape thing either.

Comparing the Tea Party to the Flea Party smears the Tea Party with every extremist element of the OWS movement. Radicalizing both groups in order for Obama to claim socialism as a reasonable middle road.

So they're angry at the banks... this I can understand... but where is the anger at politicians in DC for bailing them out?

This I cannot understand and why I think they are a shill group.

W.C., yeah, we really need to start getting our act together.

Charles, great point. The President is suddenly getting all post-partisan on us.

Harrison, let's face it: The majority of the movement is statist/collectivist in nature. They want to employ the same for confiscation of others property.

...which explains why thievery is rampant at OWS. You'd think they would be happy when their MacBook was redistributed
