Reason's Nanny of the Month for the month of March which incredibly enough does not include any entries from the worst mayor in America, Nanny Bloomberg of NYC.
What an excellent lesson to be learned, here. This isn't about libertine values vs. conservative values and one being imposed on another. This is about the free market pure and simple. If you don't like what is being served, just move along. Or if you really don't like what is being served, then just move along and organize a boycott.
And if you are worried about the delicate sensibilities of your children... how are these young ladies necessarily clad any differently than what they might see at the beach or poolside during the summer?
You have every right to be offended by the manner of dress of these women. You also have every right to follow the admonition of Christ on the day following the holiest day on the Christian calendar and it is this: flee from sin. That's right. Flee from sin.
Implied within that succint 3-word direction is don't petition city council to ban what you allege to be sinful or shameful behavior... exercise some God-given initiative to take your business to an establishment more aligned with your own personal moral compass without infringing upon the desires of others.
Isn't it amazing we can find such a valuable lesson in market economics and behavioural sciences in the New Testament?
