Want to help win the war on terror one box of crayons at a time? Our buddy Mongo got the Play-doh Offensive kicked off on our site, here over a year ago to assist a Navy corpsman friend who was doing some outreach work with the children of Afghanistan from Camp Phoenix.
He has now set up a group on Facebook to achieve the same ends. If you have an account please search, Camp Phoenix Afghanistan Operation Outreach and all the details will be provided there. If you don’t, now may be a good time to set one up.
In the meantime, check out video here of a Chicagoland reporter over there in Afghanistan and the challenges faced by our service men and women in these outreach efforts.

I just love that photo. Kid's got just the cat-that-ate-the-canary look that all kids that age around the world should have.
Concur. She's known as "the kid with the crooked smile" around here.
