Yet another perfect metaphor for the #OWS movement

.

Some posts just kind of write themselves without a whole lot of commentary being necessary. Case in point: clearing out Occupy L.A. :

Sanitation workers wearing hazmat suits and masks moved into City Hall park Wednesday to clean up tons of trash, debris and human waste after police evicted the 2-month-old Occupy LA tent camp and arrested almost 300 people in a mostly non-violent pre-dawn raid.

Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa said the cleanup and repair to the damaged lawn and park facilities would cost the city hundreds of thousands of dollars, possibly more than $1 million.

City workers installed concrete barriers around the park around 5 a.m. when the park was finally clear of protesters after a sweep by 1,400 police officers.
(emphasis ours... as if it was needed)

.

And a palate cleanser to end the day, here's comedian Adam Corolla with his take on the Occupy set (the bleeped version):

(patience, please. It takes a little while to load)

"We are now dealing with the first wave of participation trophy (people)"

"We created a bunch of self-entitlement monsters"

"They've been shamed by life because they haven't been prepared for life"

"It's one culture that can't live next to another culture that is thriving without getting pissed off, envious, resentful

Entitlement: when 1st amendment rights mean it's acceptable to cause $1 million in property damage and walk away from it scot-free.

30 tons of garbage! Good thing the Smithsonian is saving the choicest pieces for posterity. Will it include joints and hypodermic needles, too?

The Adam Corolla piece was awesome...he really just boiled it down to such beautiful truth (and everything I'm seeing with my self-entitled 25 year-old cousin)

drozz, I went with "conservative" as I thought that "South Park" would cover the libertarian wing of the coalition as it was while invoking the cranky old man/get off my lawn and get a job Burkean conservatism that Corolla is.
