Quote of the Day

"There's so much Obama hero worship, we're having to walk this line where we can't directly criticize him," he said. "But we are expressing concern."

- Kevin Martin, executive director of Peace Action on Obama's inclinations towards Democratic insiders who voted for the War in Iraq for top cabinet posts.

Don't you worry your pretty little head, Kev. We've got that angle covered.

Obama is no fool, he knows the anti-war crowd has nowhere to go. He can abuse them with impunity, and I hope he does.

My old adage that "things are never as good as you hoped when your guy gets elected and never as bad as you thought when the other guy gets elected" may yet prove out.

I agree. Call me a cockeyed optimist, but I'm still praying for a major change of heart in Mr. O, to the extent of "When I was a child, I used to speak like a child, think like a child, reason like a child; when I became a man, I did away with childish things."

If God got a hold of his heart, and he really took the Bible seriously and what America is really about, just think what he could accomplish that maybe a well-meaning McCain couldn't, with all the opposition he would have faced.

He knows the Left and what buttons to push, and how to play them like an instrument. He could take a page out of Harry Truman's book, call our mission in Iraq a "police action" and go in and kick some serious butt, and be out before the anti-war crowd stop scratching their head: "Gawsh! What's going on?"

Ah, "call me a dreamer, but I'm not the only one."

Blessings,
~Gary
