These kids are blighted

Just south of here in the gritty San Diego suburb of National City, a community youth gym is fighting for its life against eminent domain and they are being defended by the merry band of litigators at the Institute for Justice.

Blighted. Charmed, we're sure. Blight was the same B.S. excuse used to rationalize the city of New London's actions in the landmark eminent domain case, Kelo vs. New London.

Fox News did a piece here dated April 1st that gets more into the details of the case and sheds some light onto why Kelo is such an unmitigated disaster for property rights.

And check out the gym's Face Book page, here.

I better get that El Camino off the blocks on my lawn before they declare my house blighted.

Kelo v New London is destined to go down in history as one of the worst Supreme Court decisions of all time, right up there with Dred Scott.
