Thomas Friedman approves this message

Alternate headline: "Governing in a constitutional republic is, like, hard".

“Mr. Obama has told people that it would be so much easier to be the president of China. As one official put it, ‘No one is scrutinizing Hu Jintao’s words in Tahrir Square.’”

Stings like a bitch, don't it, champ? Having to deal with such inconveniences as opposition parties, midterm elections and constitutional checks and balances. That a back-bencher with zero executive experience would have to endure such indignities.

Time to take off the skirt and lead.

Obama is really a figurehead who never would have come to power in any other country, especially a Communist one, where the road to power is paved with vicious bureaucratic infighting.

I read that and couldn't believe he said it. I'm still incredulous. What a wimp!
