Remote Controls: Not being operated as intended

The Left has Bill O’Reilly to kick around and "we" have Keith Olbermann. We’d “have” him a lot more if we actually watched him as on the rare occasion we do we find his manner and delivery to be overbearing and too demanding of our attention which we've never had just lying around in spades, historically speaking. And his wacko politics aside, he’s just not very entertaining. Sorry, Olby.

So it puzzles us as to why liberals hate O’Reilly so much. They express a hatred that would suggest they torture themselves by actually watching him. Why? So we can only assume that hip-hop group, East Coast Avengers must be avid viewers… avid viewers and self-flagellants to the point they cannot stand their misery any longer and now want to kill Bill O’Reilly.

Story here. Warning: Audio file of song in all its craptastic glory contained, therein. Oh yeah, and some bad language too.

P.S. Many commenters to linked article apparently need to somehow free-up some viewing time as they are urging-on ECA to do the deed.

*snort*

I assuredly don't always agree with O'Reilly--- Roughtly as often as I agree with Prez Bush-- but even folks I disagree with utterly, I don't want to kill.

I think maybe these idiots should go, alone, and say something. To his face. (or chest, given that he's a rather large fellow.)

Five bucks on the pro-gun big guy!

Not being liberal, I can't answer for them.

But, being a garden-variety American, I could answer why the vast middle doesn't find O'Reilly all that appealing either:

He's a prick.

In deed, word, and most definitely in tone. His delivery makes the sound of fork and knife on a dry dinner plate sound appealing.

I don't mind conservatives talking about policy, theory, or thought. There's some very intelligent conservatives out there that I could listen to all day and find fascinating (Buckley was one).

O'Reilly is a bumper sticker artist -- with a microphone and a TV camera. Completely without substance. That, and a grating attitude, make him thoroughly unwatchable to most of us -- and the cat's meow to conservative America who find his simplistic view on things comforting in complex times.

Not here, broseph. My tequila infused, Spaghetti Western conservatism finds no real appeal in O'Reilly.

To steal a line from B-Daddy, "Right-wing populism is just as dangerous as Left-wing populism."

So... that being said, O'Reilly may be a complete knob but the level and amount of vitriol spent towards the guy is quite amusing, to be honest.

Foxie, humor 'em. Humor 'em all. Their own words make the biggest statement towards "tolerance".
