KBwD is on the air

Sometime back in the mid-late 80s and when star duet pairings weren’t quite the rage, Rolling Stone magazine called this particular duet “perhaps the most bizarre pairing in pop-culture history” and, indeed, it stood apart – two icons of their respective generations: the older carrying a dry, self-effacing reserve while the younger basked in his groovy, crucifix-bearing androgyny. Whether it was good acting or just the natural vibe, the two appear uncomfortable while conversing… but then they start singing… and they just nail it, putting a beautiful harmonic twist on one of our favorite Christmas carols.

Ladies and Gentlemen, from an T.V. network Christmas Special soundstage… David Bowie and Bing Crosby performing “Little Drummer Boy”.

Very sweet. The whole fam loves Bowie, so this was great.
