Any hope?

As promised, your very heavy Sunday thought piece...

Dialog, discussion, debate, compromise and reconciliation all require a degree of commonality between the two parties.

B-Daddy has noted while trolling over at the Daily Kos, that many/most (?) of the commenters view universal healthcare as a fundamental right. Well, if you come from a conservative/libertarian point of view, that renders any discussion regarding some of the finer point of healthcare moot.

And what of religion? Can there be any reconciliation beyond politically correct platitudes (offered up by Christians) between the Islamic and Christian faiths?

We’ve discussed with B-Daddy the intellectual rigor to which Catholics have exercised their faith that surpasses that of Protestants and indeed B-Daddy leans heavily on the writings of the current Pope to inform this excellent post on the fundamental natures of Islam and Christianity and any hopes of reconciling between the two religions. Read it here.

Dean,
Thanks for the link. I have slowed way down on the blogging of late, but should pick up again this week.
