What you are currently reading is so 2004

"Writing a weblog today isn't the bright idea it was four years ago. The
blogosphere, once a freshwater oasis of folksy self-expression and clever
thought, has been flooded by a tsunami of paid bilge. Cut-rate journalists and
underground marketing campaigns now drown out the authentic voices of amateur
wordsmiths. It's almost impossible to get noticed, except by hecklers."

Let’s see. We started this blog back in ’07 so considering 3 years is the shortest amount of time we’ve ever been late to a techno-socio-cultural trend, we will press onward oblivious to the weight of the logic presented above… especially in light of this:

"Bloggers today are expected to write clever, insightful, witty prose to compete with Huffington and The New York Times."

We weren’t sure whether the author’s blogger expectations were such because of the competing cleverness and wit of HuffPo and the NYT or because of the lack of it.

HuffPo is witty?

They do have a multi-color format and some nice graphics... the layout is pretty decent, as well. Does that count?
