Even more visibility than the top step of the dugout and a blog would afford

Even in the bluest of states, you help beat the Yankees and end the curse, you just might have a shot. Rumors are swirling that former Red Sox hurler, Curt Schilling might throw his hat in the ring and run for Ted Kennedy’s Senate seat. It is assumed that Schilling, who supported Bush in ’04 and McCain in ’08 would run as a Republican.

Though Schilling sounds doubtful in linked article, here is what he posted at his blog yesterday afternoon (btw, “blog” got the red misspelled squiggly. C’mon Microsoft, blogs are already passe’ and you haven’t yet caught up).

While my family is obviously the priority, and 38 Studios is a priority, I do have some interest in the possibility. That being said, to get to there from where I am today, many many things would have to align themselves for that to truly happen. I am not going to comment further on the matter since at this point it would be speculation on top of speculation.

Too late.

We're of the mind that anyone who is as much of a self-promoter as Schilling would be hard pressed to pass up this opportunity or at least let this thing drag out to take advantage of the speculation on top of speculation.
