So, what happens when your workman’s comp won’t cover any injuries incurred from sending a man to the hospital? If you are Elston McCowan, a local Baptist minister and Public Service Director of SEIU Local 2000, and you were just doing some of the Lord’s work by beating the snot out of Kenneth Gladney at a townhall meeting near St. Louis last month, you get the union to cover your medical fees and solicit donations for any potential defense fees from the local lefty online network.
By seeking workman’s comp, McCowan believed he was on the job when he received his dislocated shoulder. Talk about punching the clock.
And here’s a portion of the solicitation email:
McCowan and another SEIU organizer (Perry Molens) were attacked by right
wing extremist "Teaparty" thugs holding snake flags at a recent public town
hall meeting by Rep. Russ Carnahan in Melville, Missouri.
Snake flags? Good god not the snake flags!!!
We're trying to determine what's more priceless: that McGowan tried to get worker's comp for beating up someone else or the fact that he, who was arrested for beating up Gladney, is portraying himself as the victim or that these idiots are completely unaware of the iconic historical significance of the Gadsden flag? Tough call.

Aren't snake flags the kinds of things you wave right before someone has a spiritual siezure in one of those wingnut churches?
I think they called 'em snake flags because it sounds freakier....
