Abortion survivor, porkulus, turned 200 (days) on Thursday and porkulus fall guy, Joe Biden, was touting the success of the plan saying that porkulus was "changing the trajectory of our economy." With unemployment continuing to clib to 9.7%, we will not dispute that claim.
And the tax cheat, Timothy Geithner, said it was “too early” to start exiting from stimulus as god knows 200 days is far too early to tell whether your plan that was to provide a “jolt” to the economy is really working or not.
And when we do get this whole thing turned around we’ll be standing by, empathetically, to offer our own end of life counseling for porkulus.

San Diego residents could be hit with another water-rate increase starting Jan. 1, bringing to six the number of price jumps since 2007.
City officials said the latest proposed increase is needed to absorb the rising cost of buying water on the wholesale market. San Diego is being charged more for imported water by the San Diego County Water Authority, as are other agencies in the region.
The rate hikes will be 19 percent this month and another 12 percent next year.
Other reasons given for the rate hike is for infrastructure improvements and environmental restrictions on pumping in the Sacrmento-San Joaquin Delta (we will definitely have more on this later).
Oh, by the way, San Diego receives about two-thirds of its water from the Metropolitan Water District.
And in other completely unrelated news today, the MWD is planning on raising the pensions of its 2,000 by 25 percent which represents $70 million long-term expense.
When employee compensation packages are coming under increased scrutiny, could there be any more tone-deaf maneuver?

So, the President is going to be addressing our school children next week or something. And then he is going to make another prime-time pitch for health care reform using a joint session of Congress as his vehicle. Sigh. Is it just us or is the President starting to resemble Peter Falk's character in Columbo. Is he going to "Just one more thing" us into accepting government-managed healthcare... if that'll make him finally go away?
And speaking of his address to our nation's little skulls of mush, we thought David Harsanyi of the Denver Post had the right take on this:
Honestly, if I'm going to be badgered and browbeat by the president every day, kids should suffer a bit as well. The president has been treating the American people like schoolchildren for more than seven months — with another "major address" on health care coming right after he talks to the kids.
When my own brood comes home next week, I'll explain that in this remarkable nation, anyone can become president — though, hopefully, they'll choose something more constructive — and that daddies will often hope the president fails. I may even help them with their homework:
Q: "What do you think the president wants us to do?" Nationalize health care?
Q: "Does the speech make you want to do anything?" Write a column.
Q: "Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us?" God, I hope not.
Read the whole thing, it was quite enjoyable. Enjoy the rest of your college football Saturday. We'll be back tomorrow.

WAit, Obama said there was no pork in that bill. I'm confused now because Dear Leader told me something different.
The Columbo analogy was classic.
Q: "Are we able to do what President Obama is asking of us?"
Not in good faith....
