Memo to Republicans: Self-gratification is not on the ballot in November

So, you're a little uneasy about the loose cannon quality of Sarah Palin or maybe a tad embarrassed over Christine O'Donnell's holy crusade against onanism years ago.

Really?

Get a grip and realize that aside from whatever Palin can or can't see from her back porch or wherever what the other side has not only said but what they have done.

Seriously, what has Sarah Palin or Christine O'Donnell ever said or done that is as remotely as horrible as this?:

The disdain for the democratic process and the patronizing attitude towards her audience is palpable. All in 5 seconds!

Translation: Hell, even I don't know what's in this thing. It was written by lobbyists and congressional staffer, so like, whatever. The important thing to remember is that we passed something called health care reform - a legacy of which we will be able to take credit for forever so just get over yourselves.

Any elected politician who said that should've been removed from office immediately.

And we're supposed to be uneasy because O'Donnell "dabbled" in witchcraft 20 years ago.

Silliness.

O'Donnell should make light of it by making her campaign theme song the Divinyls' "I touch myself."

Nice.

I've been out of pocket for about a week so I haven't been able to see how she's handled things but I did catch the Karl Rove/witch craft crack which is the pitch-perfect, disarming self-deprecation you are advocating.
