We just got back from the desert this afternoon and we’re pretty beat so we may throw up a few pics from the trip and call it a day. We were probably a week early for the full bloom of the wild flowers and it seemed half of Southern California was out there (a line of 20 cars waiting to get into the Anza-Borrego state park visitors center!) but we had a great time anyway.

You can barely make them out but there are black cords running across the tarmac at the fuel pumps at Gringo’s in Borrego Springs. The cords go “ding-ding” when cars roll across them and then a man comes out to pump gas. If he’s too busy, then just go ahead and help yourself and pay the good man after you’re done pumping. It all had a ring of familiarity to it but, man, that was really strange.

Cool photos. Your blog is now classified as entertainment at work by the web blocker software so I can't get on it. Maybe others are in the same boat.
Thanks, Harrison.
That this blog is considered entertainment, I'm not sure whether or not to take that as a compliment.
