Instead of doing as they were instructed, Gassman said the students resumed the song – an impromptu form of civil disobedience.

i cannot believe that it would be offensive to belt out the national anthem at any location in this country, short of another country's embassy.
oh wait, i forgot. looking at this country's leader, patriotism is offensive.
